Description
Designed primarily for filter testing, the Large Particle Aerosol Generator 8108 produces highly concentrated aerosol in a broad particle-size range, from 0.1 to 10 µm in diameter. It produces potassium chloride (KCl) or other aerosols, and it meets the requirements of the established ISO/TS 11155-1 and ASHRAE 52.2 test codes, as well as the proposed ISO 16890 Part 2 code. Designed for easy cleaning, it provides accurate and repeatable results. The Large Particle Aerosol Generator 8108 generates, dries, and neutralizes aerosols up to 10 µm in size for use in filter testing or other applications. Generating approximately 140 std L/min of aerosol-containing flow, the concentration generated by the Model 8108 ranges from ~600 #/cm3 at a particle size of 1 µm to ~10 #/cm3 at a particle size of 10 µm. This aerosol generator is a valuable tool when conducting fractional efficiency tests of automotive-cabin air filters and general ventilation filters, or for other applications requiring a high flow rate and concentration of micron-scale particles.
