These filters and water traps are designed to protect sensors from excess water and particulate matter from any in-line process. Excess humidity can change gas level values recorded on many sensors, while water vapor can render a sensor inoperable.
To use, place the appropriate filters in-stream prior to your sensor and they will remove unwanted particles or humidity. See the image on the right for an example setup.
For select applications like capnography consider purchasing Nafion Tubing which balances the humidity in the sample to match the ambient air humidity.
