Bio-Rad Laboratories, Inc. Immun-Star HRP Detection Reagents 170-5042

Description
500 ml, luminol substrate for 800 cm2 of membrane Chemiluminescent western blot detection is a highly sensitive alternative to isotopic detection of proteins bound to blotting membranes. Instead of radioactively labeled antibodies, enzyme-conjugated antibodies produce a light signal while acting on the substrate. The Immun-Star™ WesternC™ and Immun-Star HRP chemiluminescence kits utilize HRP-conjugated secondary antibody to oxidize luminol to produce the light signal that can be captured with film or dedicated imaging equipment. An enhancer intensifies the signal output and duration, generating fast and sensitive results on nitrocellulose or PVDF membrane blots. Immun-Star WesternC Chemiluminescence Kit The Immun-Star WesternC chemiluminescence kit allows CCD imaging of western blots by combining long light emission with ultra high intensity, allowing you to take full advantage of the benefits of CCD imaging. This convenient system includes a peroxide buffer that will react with HRP to emit light and a luminol/enhancer solution that intensifies the signal. The Immun-Star WesternC chemiluminescence kit is compatible with any HRP-conjugated secondary antibody and the working solution is stable for at least 24 hr. Key features and benefits include: Femtogram sensitivity levels Working solution stability of 24 hr, allowing multiple reactions to be performed Signal duration of 24 hr, allowing optimization through multiple exposures Compatibility with both PVDF and nitrocellulose membranes Optimization for CCD imagers such as the ChemiDoc™ XRS and VersaDoc™ MP systems Compatibility with Precision Plus Protein™ WesternC standards Immun-Star HRP Chemiluminescence Kits Immun-Star HRP kits include secondary antibody-HRP conjugates. The chemical reaction, which involves a peroxidase-catalyzed oxidation of luminol, produces a light signal that can be captured on film or an imaging system. An enhancer intensifies the signal output, enabling the detection of picogram quantities of antigen. Also, it increases the duration of the light signal up to 6–8 hr. The Immun-Star HRP kit is therefore a highly sensitive, fast-acting alternative to isotopic detection. Key features include: Low picogram sensitivity levels Working solution stability for 24 hr at room temperature Signal duration of 6–8 hr, short (~30 sec) exposure time Compatibility with both PVDF and nitrocellulose membranes Possibility of stripping and reprobing Two kits are available based on goat anti-mouse or goat anti-rabbit conjugates.
