The 8” LF driver and the 8” MF/LF cone with its coaxially horn-mounted HF compression driver provide a controlled conical 85 degree dispersion pattern. The W2-228 is ideal for short throw applications where both full-range reproduction and high weather-resistance are needed, providing an uncompromised musical system in a compact package. It can be mounted in either horizontal or vertical orientations without affecting the coverage pattern.
The structurally strong loudspeaker enclosure and faceplate and three-layer Weather-Stop™ grille provide weather-resistance and durability. All exposed hardware is stainless steel or powder-coated aluminum. A stainless steel powder-coated mounting yoke is included.
