BP Lubricants North America BP® Dialectric Fluids

Description
BP Dialectric Fluids are designed for use in electro-discharge machines (EDM) of most power ratings. These hydrocarbon oils, made of the highest purity, and are designed for use in electro-discharge machines (EDM) of most power ratings. BP® Dielectric fluids provide long fluid life and meet the demands of operator requirements regarding health and safety. They have extremely low aromatic content and remain virtually unchanged by the enormous energy flux generated in the EDM process. The base fluids are of the highest purity, with low viscosity, good cooling characteristics, and high flash points. They flush erosion particles from the work area and provide quick and easy separation in filter systems. BP® Dielectric Fluids provide high metal-removal rates and low electrode wear. BP® Dielectric Fluids possess low odor and fume generation, resist oxidation, and provide excellent cooling, flushing and filterability. BP® Dielectric 180 is designed for the finest, most delicate machining operations, particularly in small EDM units working or finishing operations where very close tolerances are important. BP® Dielectric 200 can be used in machines of all sizes and is formulated for optimum metal removal rates and low electrode wear. It is ideal for roughing and finishing operations. BP® Dielectric 200T is formulated with an innovative synthetic base fluid technology to suit spark erosion machines of all power ratings and sizes. BP® Dielectric 200T is a premium quality, multipurpose dielectric fluid, designed to enable optimum rates of metal removal, together with low electrode wear, good surface finish and fine tolerances. The low aromatics content, low volatility and ensuing low fuming and odor provide a safe and pleasant working environment. Its low viscosity ensures good cooling and flushing actions in the narrow spark gaps. This in turn reduces the chance of workpiece and electrode deformation, to the benefit of the accuracy of the machining. BP® Dielectric 200T is approved or recommended by most of the manufacturers of EDM machines, for example: AEG-Elotherm; Agie; Charmilles; Ingersoll; Schiess-Nassovia; CUNA; CDM Rovella.
