The M153 Trawl Monitor is a compact trawl-mount transducer designed for installation in a flooded pod. It features a pressure rating of 600 meters (2,000 feet) and offers sensing capabilities at both 50 kHz and 200 kHz frequencies, making it suitable for various applications, including trawl monitoring and altimeter use on ROVs and AUVs. The transducer is constructed with a stainless-steel internal chassis and a seamless urethane housing, ensuring durability and longevity in underwater environments. It includes a MacArtney SUBCONN¬Æ underwater connector for easy connection to the trawl cable. Additional options available include a coupling transformer for interfacing with catch monitors, a bulkhead connector, and variations in frequency and impedance. The M153 weighs 0.7 kg (1.5 lb) and has a beamwidth of 46¬8 at 50 kHz and 8¬8 at 200 kHz.
