IsolationAir® is a portable contamination control system designed to create negative or positive pressure environments in standard-sized patient rooms using HEPA filtration and UV sterilization. The unit measures 48″ high, 30″ wide, and 20″ deep, and is mounted as a freestanding unit with flexible duct connections to ceiling grills. It supports air change rates of 36 per hour for single rooms (125 sq ft) and 16 per hour for double rooms (288 sq ft), with particle reduction from 6,480 to 225 particles per cubic foot of 0.5μm airborne particulate in two hours for single rooms. Temperature is controlled to 70°F ±1.5°F for single rooms and 75°F ±1.5°F for double rooms. Negative pressure is maintained between -0.034″ and -0.052″ H₂O, and positive pressure between +0.015″ and +0.022″ H₂O, as measured relative to adjoining hallways. The system is not a medical device and makes no clinical claims.
