The 3170 is a recessed dock lift in the 3100 series, designed for installation in 10-inch deep pits to handle pallet jacks, powered pallet jacks, and straddle stackers, and for dock-to-ground access. It features a 8 x 9 ft platform, a lowered height of 10 inches, a 5 HP motor, and a travel distance of 58 inches at approximately 10 FPM. The lift has a capacity of 8,000 lbs, with an axle capacity of 6,150 lbs at the ends and 4,250 lbs on the sides. It includes a hinged bridge with a pull-back chain, UL-approved electrical controllers, phosphoric acid-washed and baked enamel finishes, machine-grade cylinders with clear plastic return lines and internal mechanical stops, and conforms to applicable ANSI codes. The unit weighs 4,900 lbs and carries a 2-year parts and labor warranty with a 10-year structural warranty.
