The ATI Robotic Tool Changer provides the flexibility to automatically change end-effectors or other peripheral tooling. These tool changers are designed to function reliably for millions of cycles at rated load while maintaining extremely high repeatability. For this reason, the ATI Tool Changer has become the number-one tool changer of choice around the world. ATI Tool Changer models cover a wide range of applications, from very small payloads to heavy payload applications requiring significantly large moment capacity. Lightweight design with high strength. No-Touch Locking technology allows up to 0.08 inch (2.0 mm) plate separation when locking. Patented Fail-Safe locking mechanism design results in low force acting on the piston. (5) 3/8 NPT connections for passing air or vacuum through the Tool Changer. (2) 1/8 NPT connections are available to supply pneumatic pressure for coupling and uncoupling the Tool Changer. Internal proximity sensors are designed into the body of the Master plate to verify the lock/unlock position of the piston and cam. Sensors provide the lock and unlock (L/U) signals through the sensor cables provided. (2) Flats available for mounting of J16 pattern modules for support of various utility pass-through, such as signal, fluid/air, and power. Other modules may be mounted with adapter plates.
