SPOT+ TMT is a high-precision digital pyrometer that delivers reliable temperature readings of tube wall metal temperatures in all types of tube furnaces. These include boilers, reformers and crackers. The pyrometer provides accurate temperature measurement needed for close monitoring of the tube temperature, enabling improved yield and enhanced operating safety. Continuous on-line temperature measurement with the SPOT+ TMT allows process line control systems to quickly and efficiently accommodate changes in load and fuel type. Building on LAND’s extensive application expertise in the petrochemical and power industries, the SPOT+ TMT is designed specifically for temperature measurement in high-temperature furnaces. Its narrow 230:1 field of view and specially selected mid-infrared wavelength allow individual tubes to be monitored in all sizes of furnace and even in the presence for flames and smoke. UNIQUE DESIGN The SPOT+ TMT has been specifically designed for this application with a precise optical design and high sensitivity for a wide range of tube temperatures and sizes. HAZARDOUS AREA OPTION Many furnaces in petrochemical applications are located in hazardous areas. SPOT+ TMT for EXSH can be mounted in our EXSH1 Ex d enclosure. Constructed from 316/316L stainless steel with a tough sapphire window, EXSH1 has worldwide approvals and optional cooling which allows it to be used in temperatures up to 160 °C. SPOT+ TMT has a built-in algorithm to correct for such reflections, using a measurement from a process input, a second pyrometer or a thermocouple. INTEGRATION FOR AN OPTIMIZED PROCESS Combining a range of digital and analog outputs, the SPOT+TMT fully integrates with furnace controls, PLCs and control software, providing the measurements needed to optimize furnace performance. This enables reliable and repeatable operation, reliably producing high-quality products. Users can choose from Modbus TCP/IP, EtherNet/IP and REST API protocols as well as a built-in web server. Traditional 4-20 mA inputs and outputs along with discrete alarm relays ae provided as standard.
