The RT8A with its linear, industry standard 4 to 20mA output signal, interfaces with all types of low cost indicators, controllers and recorders. Temperature measurement of the material during production can improve the control of the process and give significant savings in energy costs. Temperature measurement using thermocouples are not recommended because the slow response time introduces lags in the system, which ultimately results in poor control. Damage and wear caused by being in contact with the product means that thermocouples are unreliable and have constantly to be replaced.
