Blasticidin S.HCl is an inhibitor of DNA and protein synthesis. Blasticidin S is a peptidyl nuncleoside antibiotic isolated from the culture broth of Stretomyces girseochromogenes. Blasticidin S is used to select transfected cells carrying bsr or BSD resistance genes. 1 x 100 mg vial provided as a dry solid. 5 x 2 ml vials provided at a concentration of 10 mg / ml in Hepes buffer (100 mg total).
