3M,Ñ¢ Scotch-Weld,Ñ¢ Low Density Composite Surfacing Film AF 325LS is designed for surfacing composite parts, providing a smooth, void-free finish. This film is co-cure compatible with most epoxy composite prepreg systems at temperatures of 250¬8F (121¬8C) and 350¬8F (177¬8C). It is available in white and blue, allowing for color contrast with underlying materials. The film has a weight of 0.056 lbs./ft¬= (273 g/m¬=) and features an integral expanded copper foil mesh, which enhances lightning strike performance. It operates effectively within a temperature range of -67¬8F (-55¬8C) to 300¬8F (149¬8C) and is resistant to humidity exposure before and after curing. The product's low density formulation aids in pre-paint surface preparation, reducing the need for additional filling, fairing, and sanding operations. Proper application techniques are essential for achieving optimal results, including minimizing air entrapment during installation. The shelf life is six months when stored at 0¬8F (-18¬8C) or below.
