West Penn Testing Group Spectrochemical and Material Evaluation Labs are certified to ISO 9000:2009 and ISO 17025:2005 for inorganic elemental and trace analysis of ceramics, refractories, glass, composites, ferrous and non-ferrous metals and alloys. A variety of instrument techniques are utilized to provide accurate and timely reports including ICP-OES, XRF, TGA, GFAA, OES, Leco Combustions, portable XRF for in field analysis and a 2 meter optical emission spectrograph for qualitative analysis Typical turnaround time for ceramics is 5 business days and 3 business days for metals. RUSH services are also available on request.

Materials Evaluation performs tensile testing, hardness, SEM, grain size, metallography, weld testing and grain size analyses on ferrous and non-ferrous metals.

The Non-destructive Testing Division is also NADCAP and customer certified for ultrasonic, penetrant and magnetic particle inspections for the aircraft and aerospace industries.
