American High Voltage, Inc. SLR Series SLR-1.5P

Description
Regulated Unit Low Ripple: 0.001% Output Voltage: SLR series are available in multiple output voltages ranging from +/-1,000VDC to +/-5,000VDC Power: 10W Dimension: 5.0” x 3.75” x 1.75” Electrical Characteristics & Description The SLR series power supplies are a low cost, highly regulated high voltage series designed to be used with photomultiplier tubes. This product offers low ripple and exceptionally high regulation. All units can be adjusted for maximum output by means of the 10 turn potentiometer vertically mounted on the power supply. The voltage may also be controlled by a reference input where a 0- to 13-volt signal will program the supply to full output as set by the trimpot. The output current may also be limited by adjustment of a second potentiometer. This current limit is an automatic crossover type and acts to limit the maximum current in event of an arcover condition on the output as a safety feature. The output return is common to the input ground. This requires that the output polarity be fixed as either positive or negative. The user must indicate this at time of purchase. The input voltage is +21 to +28 VDC, drawing 250mA at NL and 600mA at 10 watts. The SLR Series high voltage power supplies are regulated by virtue of linear sinewave topology. The normal input voltage of 24 VDC is stepped up by resonant action to a high voltage output which is referenced to the input ground. The output voltage of the SLR unit is NOT FLOATING. The output high voltage return and the input power return are internally connected together. The output voltage may be controlled using a reference voltage. Here, a control voltage between 0 and 13 VDC will adjust the output between 0 and full output. The maximum output current ability is set for each unit via an externally accessible trimpot which can be set from 30% to 120% above the nominal value determined by the maximum power of the unit . The current limit circuitry internal to the SLR high voltage power supply has a reaction time constant of less than 0.1 second. Negative output units are designated by an “N” after the number in the model name.

Electrical Characteristics & Description
The SLR series power supplies are a low cost, highly regulated high voltage series designed to be used with photomultiplier tubes.

The current limit circuitry internal to the SLR high voltage power supply has a reaction time constant of less than 0.1 second.

Negative output units are designated by an “N” after the number in the model name.
