The IS126 is an optically coupled isolator with two inverse-parallel infrared LEDs and an NPN silicon phototransistor in a dual in-line plastic package, designed for signal transmission between systems of different potentials. It offers an isolation voltage of 3750 V RMS and 5300 V peak, a current transfer ratio of at least 20%, and a collector-emitter breakdown voltage of 35 V. The device operates from -55°C to +100°C and has a total power dissipation of 170 mW, derating linearly by 2.26 mW/°C above 25°C. It meets the IEC 60747-5-5 standard for isolation and is a drop-in replacement for the Toshiba TLP126. The package is a 4-pin DIP, with dimensions of 3.85 ± 0.3 mm between leads.
