20-inch Big Blue 20-micron pleated sediment filter features a greater surface area than a wound, spun or melt-blown filter. Its lower pressure drop allows for increased flow rates and the use of a smaller filter housing to reduce capital equipment costs. The synthetic filter media is cellulose-free and includes no additives or binders which may cause foaming. The increased dirt holding capacity with longer life and fewer cartridge replacements reduces the filtration costs compared to other pleated cartridge suppliers. The thicker filter media has a greater capacity to capture and retain the particles compared to thin, more rigid media types which have less void space for particle retention. The temperature range is from 40 to 140 degrees F (4.4 to 60 degrees C).
