On the inside, we have added 4 layers of medium density gray foam 1½" thick in the bottom, a convoluted foam sheet in the lid held in place by the elastic cross over straps, and a hidden protective layer of PE sandwiched between cloth layers in the lid. This configuration allows the traveling professional to easily customize the interior to transport, protect, and organize expensive delicate items
