Tannoy/TGI North America, Inc. The Tannoy iw6 DS is a full bandwidth in wall speaker system, using a 165mm (6.50") bass and mid-range driver and a 25mm (1.00") WideBand™ high frequency unit. The Tannoy iw6 DS has a main bass and mid-range drive, built around an immensely strong chassis. The rigidity of the chassis controls the energy created by it's long throw driver with ease, a crucial factor in creating a drive unit capable not only of high power delivery and tremendous bass output, but also of great subtlety and finesse. This class leading performance is further enhanced by the inclusion of a Tannoy WideBand high frequency unit to extend the bandwidth to over 50kHz. Gold plated spring loaded terminals are provided for ease of installation. A unique six way clamp mechanism (patent applied for)has been designed to provide the acoustically optimum band to the wall surface without risk of distortions to the loudspeaker baffle. The design also allows for simple removal or reorientation of the loudspeaker. The iw6 DS loudspeaker has been designed for installation into standard stud partition wall systems constructed with 4" by 2" timber at 16" centers. They may also be used in cavity wall installations constructed with standard thickness drywall. These are guidelines and therefore do not prevent use of the Tannoy In-wall products in different locations and a wide range of other wall construction types as long as they have a secure clamping surface up to maximum thickness of 1" Complementing any style of decor, the perforated metal grille and discreet molded ABS baffle panel frame can be painted to blend in seamlessly with any environment.
