Faroudja Labs Faroudja's DILA788 Digital Projector Package delivers high-performance theater results at an attractive price point. This new high-performance projector leverages three wide-angle 1400x788p display chips based on the DILA technology. Compared to DLP technology, DILA produces images with higher resolution and smaller pixel spacing, free from rainbow artifacts (one chip DLP) or "screen door" effects. Each Faroudja package is "Theater Optimized" by video expert William Phelps, using proprietary firmware and specialized testing programs similar to the DILA1080HD projector. This optimization ensures very accurate color reproduction and shadow detail that closely matches analog film, with the gray scale calibrated to 125 levels of white to a D6500 accuracy of .003 from 0 to 100IRE. The Faroudja HD Digital Video Processor packaged with each projector converts all analog and digital High Definition and Standard Definition sources to the native 1400x788p resolution of the projector. The full suite of Faroudja's patented technologies for color reproduction, detail enhancement and motion tracking ensures that all sources produce film-like images that are full of depth to provide a very dramatic impact.
