Visual Sound, Inc. Contractor Precision Series 8-ch. Amplifier CPS 8.5

Description
Electro-Voice The CPS8.5 is an eight-channel amplifier from Electro-Voice featuring groundbreaking Class-D technology for maximum amp efficiency and minimized heat dissipation in 19-inch racks. Each channel individually provides transformer-less, switchable output characteristics, which enable specific channels to achieve maximum performance. Power into 2 Ohms, 4 Ohms, 70V or 100V lines are all possible, and no transformer is required. In Hi-Z operation (70V or 100V), a 50 Hz high-pass filter provides protection against loudspeaker transformer saturation. Additionally, amplifier channels can be bridged in pairs for double output power. The contractor-friendly CPS8.5 also features Phoenix-type connectors for inputs and outputs, pre-programmable power-on delay, easy power switching via remote contact closure, and real panel attenuators. A module slot for the optional RCM-810 remote control module provides control network functionality, allowing for remote system diagnostics via IRIS-Net software. In addition, using the RCM-810's Variable Load Drive (VLD) feature can tailor the amplifier's output power to match every load from 2 Ohms up to 10 Ohms in steps of 0.1 Ohms.
