The TSOP31140-ND is an infrared (IR) receiver module designed for remote control systems, optimized for short burst signals in various environments. It features individual integrated circuit (IC) settings that allow users to select the appropriate automatic gain control (AGC) variant, enhancing noise suppression while balancing code compatibility. The device integrates a PIN diode and a preamplifier within a compact epoxy package that includes an IR filter. This module operates with a supply voltage range of 2.0 V to 5.5 V and has a low supply current, making it suitable for power-sensitive applications. The output signal can be directly interfaced with a microprocessor for decoding purposes. The TSOP31140-ND is capable of receiving signals at a carrier frequency of 40 kHz and has a transmission distance of up to 45 meters under optimal conditions.
