ValueTronics International, Inc. RF Generator E8663B

Description
The E8663B is a 3.2 GHz RF Generator from Agilent. An RF generator is a tool engineers use to generate sinusoidal outputs while testing electronic equipment. The output will automatically have its frequency varied or swept between frequencies. A “sweep” is one complete cycle of a frequency variation. Engineers use RF signal generators as test equipment, mostly to measure responses of filters, amplifiers, and electrical components. Additional Features: Frequency range: 100 kHz to 3.2 GHz 9 GHz with option .001 Hz resolution -135 to +18 dBm typical output power Provides the best close-to-carrier phase noise and specified down to 1 Hz offset from carrier AM, FM, øM, and pulse (may be simultaneously enabled) Typical 8 ns rise/fall times and 20 ns pulse width from 10 MHz to 9 GHz Dual internal function generators: sine, square, triangular, ramp, and noise 10BaseT LAN and GPIB SCPI and IVI-COM drivers Backwards compatible with the Agilent 8662A and Agilent HP 8663A signal generators Compatible with the Agilent E5500 and Agilent 3048A phase noise test systems The Agilent E8663B analog signal generator provides the industry’s lowest close-to-carrier phase noise available in an off-the-shelf signal generator. With included analog modulation (AM, FM, øM, and pulse) capability, superior level accuracy and high output power, the Agilent E8663B is the right choice for demanding applications such as radar system development, satellite communications evaluation, or when a very low noise local oscillator or reference signal is needed. Built on the outstanding legacy of the Agilent 8663A, the Agilent E8663B delivers improved performance and is fully code compatible with its predecessor for seamless upgrades to existing test systems.
