ValueTronics International, Inc. RF Generator 8684A

Description
The 8684A is a 12.5 GHz RF Generator from Agilent. An RF generator is a tool engineers use to generate sinusoidal outputs while testing electronic equipment. The output will automatically have its frequency varied or swept between frequencies. A “sweep” is one complete cycle of a frequency variation. Engineers use RF signal generators as test equipment, mostly to measure responses of filters, amplifiers, and electrical components. Additional Features: Frequency range: 5.4 GHz to 12.5 GHz 10 mHz frequency resolution 0dBm to -130dBm leveled output range 0.1db output resolution less than -65dbc/Hz ssb phase noise at 10 kHz offset internal and external am fm and pulse modulation 3.5 digit LED display The Agilent 8684A is a cavity tuned, microprocessor enhanced, solid-state signal generator with a microwave output frequency range of 5.4 to 12.5 GHz. The output is leveled and calibrated over the range of 0 dBm to -120dBm. Internal amplitude modulation in the form of a 1 kHz square wave or FM in the form of a 1 kHz sawtooth may be individually selected, and the maximum frequency deviation of the FM may be adjusted from the front panel. An external pulse generator may also be used to pulse modulate the microwave output at rates up to 10 kHz.
