The 83570A is a 26.5 GHz sweep generator from Agilent. A sweep generator is a tool engineers use to generate sinusoidal outputs while testing electronic equipment. The output will automatically have its frequency varied or swept between frequencies. A sweep is one complete cycle of a frequency variation. Engineers use sweep signal generators as test equipment, mostly to measure responses of filters, amplifiers, and electrical components.
Additional Features:
The Agilent 83570A Sweep Oscillator RF Plug-In is designed to be used in the Keysight Agilent HP 8350-Series mainframe, provides precision measurements to 26.5 GHz. All solid-state, maintains a minimum leveled output power of 10 dBm, internally leveled to a flatness <±1.4 dB. At the output, power losses are minimized with a waveguide output connector (K281C coaxial adapter sold separately). The full range from 18 GHz to 26.5 GHz maintains a 30 MHz frequency accuracy and 0.1% linearity. Output power has a calibrated range of 11 dB which can be extended with external attenuators (sold separately). Power level may be manually set to a 0.1 dB resolution, remotely programmed to a 0.02 dB resolution. With high frequency coverage, complete HP-IB programmability and outstanding leveled output power, the Agilent 83570A plug-in, combined with the many of the Agilent 8350 mainframe adds a new dimension to microwave measurements above 18 GHz.
