The 620B is a 11 GHz RF Generator from Agilent. An RF generator is a tool engineers use to generate sinusoidal outputs while testing electronic equipment. The output will automatically have its frequency varied or swept between frequencies. A “sweep” is one complete cycle of a frequency variation. Engineers use RF signal generators as test equipment, mostly to measure responses of filters, amplifiers, and electrical components.
Additional Features:
The Agilent 620B allows frequency to be set on a large, direct-reading dial. A Delta F vernier control provides ultra-fine tuning capability. There is also a provision for remote fine tuning. Calibrated output from 0 to -127 dBm (into 50-ohms) is also set on a large, direct-reading dial (calibrated in both dBm & volts). An output independent of attenuator setting is also available for phase-locking to another generator. Offers internal pulse, squarewave and FM, plus external pulse and FM. Output range is 0 to -127 dBm into 50-ohms with ±2 dB accuracy.
