The 42841A is a Current Source from Agilent. A current source is a type of electronic test equipment in circuit form that can deliver or absorb electrical current that’s independent of the voltage across its terminals. There are two types of current sources: dependent and independent. A dependent current source delivers an electric current that is proportional to another voltage in the circuit. An independent current source delivers a constant current.
Additional Features:
Clear plastic cover is provided for safe measurements
Opening the cover decreases the voltage generated by back-e.m.f. (electromotive force) to a level below 40 V within 0.1 second
Heat-sensitive switch prevents DUT from overheating
Also equipped with DC bias voltage monitoring
The Keysight Agilent HP 42841A Bias Current Source is an accessory of the Keysight Agilent HP 4284A and Keysight Agilent HP 4285A Precision LCR Meters. The Bias current output at 23 ±5º C is 0.01 to 20.0 A. The Basic impedance accuracy is 1% over the frequency range 1 kHz to 1 MHz. The unit has a custom interface which is directly controllable be the Option 002 of the Keysight Agilent HP 4284A and Keysight Agilent HP 4285A Precision LCR Meters.
