Valcor Engineering Corporation Solenoid Valves, 2-Way Direct Acting V5000 Series

The Valcor V5000 Series is a 2-way direct acting solenoid valve designed for controlling the flow of aviation fuels, non-corrosive gases, and non-aeromatic hydraulic fluids. It operates in normally closed or normally open configurations, utilizing a plunger and coil assembly to control flow. When energized, the coil generates an electromagnetic field that lifts the plunger, allowing flow through the valve. The valve features a lightweight design at approximately 0.34 lbs and operates effectively within a temperature range of -65¬8F to +250¬8F. The V5000 Series supports an operating pressure of 0-1200 PSIG, with a proof pressure of 1500 PSIG and a burst pressure of 3000 PSIG. It has low internal leakage rates, with a maximum of 0.5 cc/hr for liquid and 15 scc/min for gas. The valve requires a voltage supply between 18 to 30 VDC and has a low current draw, with a maximum of 1.07 amps at 30 VDC. It is rated for 20,000 life cycles and does not require a minimum operating pressure for tight sealing. This valve is suitable for applications in aircraft, including APUs and engines, where reliability and performance under varying conditions are critical.
