USHIO’s Frostline™ series of MR16 lamps feature a halogen capsule surrounded by a frosted reflector and frosted front glass cover. Because there is no reflective coating on the reflector, the light profile spills in all directions. Normal dichroic MR16s typically cause color changes or disruptive patterns on colored fixture glass.
The Frostline series was designed to fit into pendant glass fixtures and eliminate the back-spill of “dichroic color” often occurring when used in these type of fixtures.
