Universal Wire Works Inc. Aerospace Alloy AMS 5828

Description
Waspalloy Filler Metal is used to weld base metals of similar composition using the gas tungsten arc, gas metal arc and resistance welding processes. Waspalloy is generally used for critical applications requiring strength at elevated temperatures (1600 degrees F). This alloy has good corrosion and oxidation resistance in gas turbine atmospheres and is recommended for turbine blades, shafts, turbine and compressor disc, spacers, fasteners and miscellaneous jet engine hardware. Waspalloy is suitable n replacing Nimonc 90 alloy in selected applications.
