Rene 41 can be welded with the gas tungsten arc and gas metal arc processes. Because of its high strength and good oxidation resistance, this alloy is recommended for jet and rocket engine components such as turbine wheels, turbine blades, torque rings, afterburner parts, combustion chambers liners, structural hardware and various airframe and missile components.
