Description
1.1 This standard applies to quick-connect terminals, both connectors and tabs, having nominal widths of 2.8, 3.2, 4.8, 5.2, and 6.3 mm (0.110, 0.125, 0.187, 0.205, and 0.250 in). They are intended for internal wiring connections in electrical equipment and for the field termination of conductors to electrical equipment in accordance with Part I of the Canadian Electrical Code, CSA C22.1, in Canada, and the National Electrical Code, NFPA 70, in the United States of America. 1.2 These requirements apply to quick-connect terminals intended for use with one or two 26 - 10 AWG (0.13 - 5.3 mm2) copper conductors. 1.3 These requirements do not apply to terminals for use with aluminum conductors. 1.4 These requirements do not apply to multi-pole devices. Multi-pole devices are covered by UL 1977 and CSA C22.2 No. 182.3. 1.5 In Canada, general requirements applicable to this standard are given in CSA C22.2 No. 0.
