UL Standards & Engagement Standard for Receptacles and Switches Intended for Use with Aluminum Wire UL 1567

1.1 These requirements cover wire binding screw terminals of receptacles and switches rated 15 or 20 A intended for use with solid conductor aluminum building wire, and that require direct connection of wiring conductor(s) to the binding head screw terminal(s) prior to insertion of the device in an outlet box. 1.2 These performance requirements for wire binding screw terminals are in addition to the requirements for the products covered by the Standard for Attachment Plugs and Receptacles, UL 498, and the Standard for General-Use Snap Switches, UL 20.
