A pressure transducer is mounted or submerged at a known location near or at the bottom of the tank. Pressure from the liquid level (head pressure) is converted to an electrical signal that is sent to the Digital Display module. The electrical signal is then conditioned/scaled and, if required, compensated for non-linear tank configuration(calibrations where the weight or volume per cubic unit of depth varies) in the required unit of measurement and displayed by an easy-to-read 4-1/2 digit display. Direct Reading Systems are intended for measuring clean, non-corrosive liquids.
