The ultimate closed head drums ideal for shipping and storing a wide range of regulated and non-regulated products. Blow molded in one piece using premium grade high molecular weight, high density polyethylene resin, these drums are extremely strong and rigid. They are lighter than their steel counterpart, making them easier to handle, easier to stack. They wont rust, dent or peel and, best of all, they cut shipping cost. Handling drums is easy, thanks to the extra-large compression molded ring that facilitates lifting with parrot-beak equipment, or they can be easily moved with manual lift carts. Other feature include fully drainable top, sidewall rolling hoops, molded hand hold, sump well molded into drum bottom and protect label surface areas on drum top. Drums have a 2 buttress and a 2 NPS bung. Maximum filling temperature is 150F. When filling at this recommended temperature drums should be allowed to cool to ambient prior to stacking. Drums filled at elevated temperatures should be vented properly to prevent vacuum formation within the drum which can compromise stacking capabilities. Can be stacked 3 high (1+2) maximum with pallets between drums. Maximum top load on bottom drums not to exceed 2000 lbs each. Handle with parrotbeak, side grabber and sling. Fit 4 wide in standard trailer. Compatibility with hazardous materials as listed in 49CFR are the responsibility of the filler. UN/DOT rating: 1H1/Y1.9/150.
