The OPB815L is a slotted optical switch with an infrared LED and NPN silicon phototransistor in a plastic housing, designed for non-contact object sensing. It features a slot width of 9.5 mm and depth of 10.9 mm, with solderable leads for PCB mounting. The infrared LED has a peak wavelength of 890 nm, a maximum forward current of 50 mA, and a forward voltage of 1.7 V at 20 mA. The phototransistor supports a collector-emitter voltage of 30 V and an on-state collector current of 3.5 to 16 mA at 20 mA forward current and 10 V supply. Operating and storage temperature range is -40°C to +80°C. The device is RoHS compliant.
