The heart of the new industrial pressure transmitter NAT 8252 is Trafag’s thin-film-on-steel sensing element. It is a fully welded design that can withstand triple the operating pressure without experiencing damage. To protect the sensor against cavitation and liquid hammer, a damping element is available as an option. For this reason it is strong, stable and maintains accurate even under rough conditions. The electronics are based on Trafag’s in-house designed ASIC (application specific integrated circuit) which achieves optimal temperature compensation and linearization over the operating range of -40…125° C.
