The XC9140C2224R-G is a step-up synchronous DC/DC converter designed for high efficiency in portable devices. It operates with an input voltage range of 0.9V to 5.5V and can start up from as low as 0.9V, making it suitable for applications powered by single alkaline or nickel-metal hydride batteries. The device features an internal N-channel driver transistor with a resistance of 0.6Oc and a P-channel synchronous rectifier switch transistor with a resistance of 0.65Oc, which contributes to its efficiency. This regulator supports output voltage settings from 1.8V to 5.0V with a maximum output current of 80mA at 3.3V. It employs Pulse Frequency Modulation (PFM) control, resulting in a low quiescent current of 6.3OºA, which is advantageous for battery-operated devices.
