This new illuminator has uniform light to allow for better image quality at the higher magnification of the ZDM Depth Measuring Microscope. It also uses less power then the standard incandescent system. The power supply comes standard with a North American USB power supply, there is also a universal power supply available that can be used from 100-240V 50/60 Hz. with the addition of the ZDM-LED UPS Universal Power Supply it can be used anywhere in the world. The LED system is rated at 320 lumens maximum output and has a built in rheostatically controlled dimmer switch. The LED is rated for over 75,000 hours of use. Power consumption is 0.77 Amps at 2.5 Watts.
