Timken Company (The) Cylindrical Needle Roller and Cage Thrust Assemblies

Description
Cylindrical roller thrust bearings provide rolling bearing arrangements which can accommodate high dynamic axial loads as well as shock loads. The simple geometry of the cylindrical roller thrust bearing components allows for the use of many design arrangements. For example, for less demanding applications, it is possible to combine metric series cylindrical roller cage and thrust bearings with metric series heavy thrust washers or metric series thin thrust washers. Cylindrical roller and cage thrust assemblies can also be used without bearing thrust washers if the adjacent machine components can be prepared to serve as suitable raceways. Cylindrical roller thrust bearings may be used where the load carrying capability of needle roller and cage thrust assemblies is insufficient. In addition, the bearings can accommodate high dynamic and static axial loads in one direction, but they are not suitable to transmit radial loads. Size range: 6 mm to 140 mm (0.2362 in. to 5.5118 in.) Design Attributes Simple geometry of cylindrical thrust bearings and assemblies offers application flexibility Capable of high dynamic and static axial loads in one direction. Specially designed for high speed performance. Applications Automotive automatic and manual transmissions Material handling equipment Lifting mechanisms Expanded Options Anti-reversal features for error-proofing installation Anti-rotation locking features Lubrication flow enhancements
