The TPS2383PMR is a Power Over Ethernet (PoE) controller compliant with the IEEE 802.3af standard, designed for power sourcing equipment (PSE) applications. It can manage power delivery for up to eight Ethernet ports, allowing for the discovery and classification of powered devices (PDs). The device features a dual 25-k,Ѷ resistor discovery mechanism and capacitive detection for non-compliant legacy loads. This controller supports controlled di/dt ramp power-up and power-down to reduce electromagnetic interference (EMI) and includes current management for charging the bulk capacitance of powered devices.
