Texas Instruments TPS2052C Dual Channel, Current-Limited USB Power Distribution Switch TPS2052CDGN

The TPS2052CDGN is a dual-channel, current-limited USB power distribution switch designed for applications that may encounter heavy capacitive loads and short circuits. It supports rated currents of 0.5 A, 1 A, 1.5 A, and 2 A, with an accurate current limit tolerance of ±20%. The device operates within a voltage range of 4.5 V to 5.5 V and features a fast overcurrent response time of approximately 2 µs, which helps protect the main power supply during fault conditions. This power distribution switch includes built-in soft start functionality to minimize current surges during turn-on and turn-off, as well as reverse current blocking to prevent backflow of current. The TPS2052CDGN is housed in an 8-pin HVSSOP package and is rated for operation in ambient temperatures from -40°C to 125°C.
