The TPA2000D2PWPR is a 2-W filterless stereo Class-D audio power amplifier designed for high efficiency and low power consumption. It operates within a temperature range of -40¬8C to 85¬8C and features short-circuit protection for enhanced reliability. The amplifier can deliver over 2W of continuous average power into a 3-ohm load with a total harmonic distortion plus noise (THD+N) of less than 1%. At 1W into a 4-ohm load at 1 kHz, the THD+N is typically below 0.08%. This device utilizes a third-generation 5-V Class-D technology, achieving maximum efficiency of 65-70% into 3W loads and 75-85% into 8W loads. It has low supply current requirements of 8 mA in normal operation and 1 ¬µA in shutdown mode, making it suitable for battery-powered applications. The TPA2000D2PWPR also includes integrated depop circuitry and four internal gain settings ranging from 8 to 23.5 dB, allowing for flexibility in audio applications. The BTL configuration eliminates the need for external coupling capacitors, further simplifying design and reducing component count.
