The TCA9509DGKR is a level-translating I¬=C and SMBus bus repeater designed for bidirectional voltage-level translation between low voltages (down to 0.9V) and higher voltages (2.7V to 5.5V). It features a two-channel buffer that supports mixed-mode applications, allowing for the extension of I¬=C and similar bus systems without performance degradation during level shifting. The device accommodates standard and fast mode I¬=C devices, supports arbitration and clock stretching, and can handle bus capacitance of up to 400pF on the B-side. The TCA9509 operates with an active-high repeater-enable input and requires no external pull-up resistors on the lower-voltage port (A-side). It is available in two package options: a compact 1.6mm x 1.6mm QFN and a 3mm x 3mm MSOP. The device is rated for operation in temperatures ranging from -40¬8C to 85¬8C and has a maximum data rate of 400kHz.
