The SN65C3232DW is a multichannel RS-232 compatible line driver and receiver designed to operate with a supply voltage ranging from 3 V to 5.5 V. It supports data signaling rates of up to 1 Mbit/s and features a low supply current of 300 OºA typical. The device includes two line drivers, two line receivers, and a dual charge-pump circuit, which allows it to function effectively with just four external capacitors of 0.1 OºF each. It is capable of accepting 5-V logic inputs while powered by a 3.3-V supply. The SN65C3232DW also provides robust ESD protection, exceeding ¬±15 kV using the human-body model for pin-to-pin connections, making it suitable for various applications including industrial PCs, wired networking, and battery-powered systems.
