Texas Instruments LP395 Ultra Reliable Power Transistor LP395Z/LFT4

The LP395 is a monolithic NPN power transistor with integrated current, power, and thermal overload protection, designed for reliable operation as a driver for incandescent lamps or solenoids. It is packaged in a TO-92 case with a maximum height of 5.34 mm and operates over a temperature range of -40°C to +125°C. The device provides a rated output current of 100 mA, with a typical saturation voltage of 1.6 V and base current of 0.5 μA. Emitter-follower configurations require a 4.7 kΩ base resistor to prevent oscillation. The transistor can withstand up to 36 V on the base without damage and features a switching time of 2 μs. It meets RoHS standards and is rated for use in non-critical general-purpose applications.
