The CDC536 is a 3.3V phase-locked loop (PLL) clock driver designed to distribute one clock input to six outputs with low output skew and low jitter. It operates at a supply voltage of 3.3V and supports input frequencies ranging from 25 MHz to 100 MHz, depending on the output configuration. The device features selectable output frequencies of 1/2x, 1x, and 2x the input frequency, allowing for flexible clock generation suitable for synchronous DRAM and high-speed microprocessor applications. The CDC536 includes an on-chip loop filter, eliminating the need for external RC networks, which simplifies design and reduces component count. It also features a feedback input (FBIN) for synchronizing output clocks to the input clock signal, ensuring precise frequency and phase alignment. The outputs are TTL-compatible and can drive 50-ohm parallel-terminated transmission lines.
