Eenables the use of most analog telephone test sets on Meridian Digital Centrex lines (also know as EBS, MBS, or P-Phone). With the Adapter set to POTS (Plain Old Telephone Service) it is bypassed and will have no effect. With the Adapter set to P-Phone, a constant loop current is maintained with the central office (CO) regardless of hook status. Digital messaging is transmitted in response to dialing or change in hook status.
