Technic, Inc. Cleardep Electrocoating System

Description
Cleardep Chemistry Cleardep is an electrocoating process which can be used on a variety of both plated and polished metal substrates. It produces a tough, resilient, drip4ree coating, which can reduce finish wear and improve tarnish resistance. The resin coating itself is colorless, but can be dyed to produce a glossy, colored finish. It is the ideal finish treatment for such products as: door hardware, lock sets, plumbing and lighting fixtures, optical goods, holloware, tubular furniture, automotive trim and fashion jewelry. Cleardep Equipment Technic builds two styles of electrocoating systems, each available in a variety of sizes: the TCP Series E and the TCP Series M. The Series E (shown above) is the economy version, consisting of a polypropylene tank on legs, with the necessary work rods, heater, ventilation hood and associated accessories mounted to the tank. For specific information regarding Cleardep chemistry, contact Technic/Chemical Division at 401 781-6100. The rectifier and separate timer are mounted on an adjacent shelf. The ultra-filter (with various pumps and ion-selective membrane and its associated filter chambers) is assembled separately and mounted on a polypropylene superstructure. The Series M is a modular design, consisting of a stainless steel framework with the accompanying tank, ultrafilter assembly, pumps, plumbing and filters mounted within the module. A separate control console containing the rectifier, timer, temperature control, lights, fuses and switches, is provided and is attached to the module. The Series M is pre-wired to a junction box located at the rear of the unit. Technic is also able to provide all the necessary pre-dip and post-dip tanks, D.I. water systems and curing ovens which are required by the coating process.
