AMPSEAL 16 Connectors are targeted for off-road, heavy-duty industrial, recreational and agricultural applications. The connectors offer rugged reliability, easy use, and help prevent moisture and dirt from contaminating connections.
AMPSEAL connectors known for their rugged reliability even under high-temperature automotive and industrial applications are now a snap to assemble. Tyco Electronics has replaced the difficult-to-apply, labor-intensive gasket by bonding it to the header assembly. Connector will not shut unless all contacts are properly inserted. This product upgrade also eliminates purchasing and inventorying an extra part ? the gasket. Superior environmental sealing makes these heavy-duty connectors not only waterproof, but submersible as well. Integral latch firmly holds mated connector halves together without the need for additional hardware. Housing assemblies are available in 2 through 12 circuit versions and are intended for wire?to?wire and wire?to?device applications.
